#1: Bolton by Bowland and Rimington – 20 miles

A nice undulating ride with approximately 1,500 feet of climbing.

From the main entrance to Waddow Hall, turn left away from Clitheroe to head through the villages of Waddington, West Bradford, Grindleton, Sawley, Bolton by Bowland and Gisburn before returning to Clitheroe via Rimington.

Route 1 - Bolton By Bowland

#2: Tour of Pendle witch country – 35 miles

A longer ride up and over Pendle Hill  taking in the infamous Nick O’ Pendle hill climb.  Approximately 4,000 feet of climbing.

Cross the river and cycle up through Clitheroe.  Cross the A59 (with care – it’s a busy, fast road) and then climb up over the Nick O’ Pendle to Sabden.  Come back through Barley, Bolton by Bowland, West Bradford and Waddington.

Route 2 - Tour of Pendle

#3: Bashall Eaves and back – 8 miles

A nice short ride out with approximately 900 feet of climbing.

From Waddow Hall, head away from Clitheroe through Waddington and then turn left onto Cross Lane.  Go through Bashall Eaves, past Bashall Barn and return to Waddow Hall – either rejoin the Waddington Road or come over Edisford Bridge and back through Clitheroe.

Route 3 - Bashall Eaves
